For the relatively small dimensions and decorative elements, it falls into the category of vacation homes, hunting and typical literary pleasures of the architecture of the mainland, namely the \u201cvilla culture\u201d of wealthy Venetians. The layout of the first floor, with the classic central hall, four side rooms and the loggia, reproduces the traditional Venetian plant. In the province of Treviso, there are several examples of this architecture, characterized by the sobriety of the linear scheme with vast tripartite openings. A two-storey west wing of the Nineteenth-century is connected to the villa at the mezzanine level, once called \u201cMesa\u201d, and with the ground floor porch with courtyard gives access to the public road. Originally the entrance opened to the south paved courtyard and garden enclosed by a wall also frescoed, modified in 1800 on the west side to create a two-story barn. A chapel with a wooden altar of the fifteenth century, overlooks the entrance porch. The remainder of the exterior decoration recalls Palladian architectural flavor. The triple opening of the lodge is underlined by a fake colonnade: large fluted columns with Corinthian capitals mark the prospects with the bottom of imitation ashlar, to build a \u201cpainted architecture\u201d of great charm. Beyond the short staircase, flanked by statues of the eighteenth century, near the Bonazza style, depicting the four seasons, we come to the atrium that gives light to the central hall. The decoration is very diversified: cherubs, garlands of vegetables and fruits, birds, musical instruments and notes, and four figures of musicians. The two side doors are topped with fake windows. The Corner coat of arms is repeated in the north wall and remembers the history of the illustrious family. In fact it is deduced that the Villa can be dated to after 1564, the year of the transfer of the Bishop\u2019s Hat to Giorgio Corner, as confirmed by a slab-tile dated 1578. The two lateral arms are of the Priuli and Soranzo families. Lovely are the ceiling decorations, framed in small vaults, lunettes and ovals, with musical angels and winged putti. Here the effect of illusion is accentuated in the diagram boxes in which architectural counterpoint windows and open loggias of expansive landscapes prospectively focused on the diagonals. Of the two center panels, representing country scenes, unfortunately remain only sinopie, as the originals were torn during the second world war. The side panels represent Temperance, Fortitude, Prudence and Justice. In the overdoors there are monochrome figures of the four seasons, the Samaritan woman at the well, Susanna and the Elders. Accents mannerist, which recall Veronesians inventions, especially in open landscapes over the fake loggia\u2019s balustrade, with figures of women in sumptuous drapery and close-ups of trees of heaven moved: real \u201ctrompe l\u2019oeil\u201d. Even the side rooms are entirely frescoed and have wooden Sansovino ceilings with beams originally painted. The east room, which is accessed from the hall, is the \u201cmusic room\u201d: musical instruments of all kinds, and notes between flowery festoons are elegant vertical friezes. The themes of Faith, Hope and Charity and, in the panels above, Magdalene and St. Jerome, complete the cycle. On the wall to the north a landscape framed by Ionic colonnades and east of a marble fireplace surmounted by the Virgin and Child. In the north room, another fireplace in Verona marble is inserted into an architectural decoration, with fake banners, armor, coats of arms and monochrome scenes of biblical character, cupids, grapevines. On the panel over the door the theme of the Deposition and, above fireplace, the Martyrdom of S. Giustina. The room on the right of the saloon, lights up fake windows, with landscapes of trees and animated by scenes of monochrome on rounds, softened with floral decorations, with the effect of wall hangings. The kitchen, built in the nineteenth century, and the staircase that rises to the mezzanine floor and attics intended to be a barn, once partially painted, complete the atmosphere. In an undefined period, the frescoed walls were covered with layers of lime and the premises divided. The current owners under the control of the Istituto Regionale delle Ville Venete and the Soprintendenza ai Monumenti conducted the restorations at different times.<\/span><\/p>\n Nasceva cos\u00ec la Villa Veneta<\/strong>, una tipologia abitativa e produttiva originale, che ebbe gran successo perch\u00e8 rispondeva ad esigenze estetiche e pratiche; infatti a fianco al corpo principale, destinato all\u2019abitazione del patrizio, realizzato da artisti di fama, sorgevano le barchesse<\/strong>, le stalle ed i rustici. Veronese<\/strong>, Villa Elmo<\/strong> affrescata da Zelotti e Villa Foscari<\/strong> detta la Malcoltenta<\/strong>. Tra le pi\u00f9 affascinanti anche se meno nota la Villa Soranzo Chiminelli<\/strong> a Sant'Andrea di Castelfranco Veneto<\/strong>. Scapinelli in \u201cHistoria di Castelfranco\u201d (1623). Da recenti studi risulta che la propriet\u00e0 originale, \u201cgi\u00e0 attribuita alla famiglia Corner,\u201d fosse di Francesco Soranzo, nobile Veneziano, parroco a S. Andrea oltre il Muson dal 1563 al 1595. Nel 1614 passo\u2019 alla nobile famiglia Piacentini e, in seguito, nel 1852, alla famiglia Tiepolo. Durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, nel 1944, la Villa fu occupata dalle forze armate tedesche, che la adibirono ad ospedale militare, e piu\u2019 tardi, con la liberazione, dal comando alleato americano. Fu in quest\u2019ultimo anno di guerra che l\u2019intera proprieta\u2019 fu acquistata, in condizioni precarie e parzialmente locata, da Francesco Chiminelli<\/strong> il quale, con grande entusiasmo e passione, diede inizio agli interventi di recupero sotto l\u2019attento controllo degli organi competenti. Ai primi lavori di ristrutturazione dei locali inagibili seguirono i restauri delle pareti affrescate ancora parzialmente coperte di calce. E\u2019 a lui che si deve inoltre la raccolta degli oggetti che oggi costituiscono i Musei dell\u2019Arte Contadina e Conciario. Dopo la morte di Francesco i figli Alessandro e Baldino, con lo stesso amore e la stessa passione del padre, hanno intrapreso un nuovo accurato intervento di restauro riportando la villa al suo antico \u00e8 costituita dal piano seminterrato ad uso cantine<\/strong> a volta, da un piano nobile rialzato<\/strong> interamente affrescato e dal primo piano, un tempo destinato a granaio. Per le dimensioni raccolte e gli elementi decorativi, rientra nella categoria degli edifici per la villeggiatura, per la caccia e gli svaghi letterari tipica dell\u2019architettura di terraferma, vale a dire della \u201ccivilt\u00e0 di villa\u201d dei Veneziani benestanti. La disposizione al piano rialzato, con il classico salone centrale, quattro sale laterali e loggia di ingresso, ripete la pianta tradizionale della casa veneziana<\/strong> della quale nella Marca Trevigiana<\/strong> si hanno altri esempi e di cui la sobriet\u00e0 lineare dello schema architettonico a fronte tripartita con vaste aperture \u00e8 tipico esempio. Il rimanente della decorazione esterna<\/strong> arieggia elementi architettonici di sapore palladiano<\/strong>. La triplice apertura della loggia \u00e8 sottolineata da un finto colonnato: grandi colonne scanalate con capitelli corinzi<\/strong> scandiscono il prospetto con fondo a finto bugnato, a costruire un \u201carchitettura dipinta\u201d<\/strong> di grande fascino.Oltre la breve scalinata, fiancheggiata da statue del 700 vicine al Bonazza<\/strong> raffiguranti le quattro stagioni, si giunge all\u2019atrio che d\u00e0 luce al salone centrale. La decorazione \u00e8 molto varia: putti, festoni di verdura e frutta, uccelli, strumenti musicali e note e quattro figure di suonatori<\/strong>. Le due porte laterali sono sormontate da finte finestre. Lo stemma dei Corner si ripete nella parete nord e ricorda le vicende dell\u2019illustre famiglia. Infatti se ne deduce che la villa \u00e8 databile a dopo il 1564, anno del conferimento del Cappello Vescovile a Giorgio Corner, come confermato da una tavella sottotegola datata 1578. I due stemmi laterali sono delle famiglie Priuli e Soranzo. Assai felici sono le decorazioni del soffitto<\/strong>, inquadrate a piccole volte, lunette ed ovali , con angeli musicanti e putti alati. E\u2019 la \u201cmaniera\u201d del Veronese<\/strong>, quale si ritrova nella Villa di Maser e nella vicina Soranza del Sanmicheli, demolita nel 1800, tanto da non potersi escludere un suo parziale intervento.<\/p> [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=\"4.18.0\" _module_preset=\"16a54059-cc81-4572-9c70-eda6a6c419bf\" text_font=\"Merriweather||||||||\" text_text_color=\"#000000\" text_font_size=\"16px\" text_line_height=\"2em\" custom_margin=\"||27px|||\" text_font_size_tablet=\"15px\" text_font_size_phone=\"14px\" text_font_size_last_edited=\"on|phone\" header_font_size_tablet=\"55px\" header_font_size_last_edited=\"off|desktop\" locked=\"off\" global_colors_info=\"{}\"]<\/p> Dalla loggia si passa al salone, qui l\u2019effetto d\u2019illusione si accentua nello schema a riquadri in cui elementi architettonici contrappuntano finestre e logge aperte su ariosi paesaggi prospetticamente incentrati sulle diagonali. Dei due pannelli centrali, rappresentanti scene campestri, restano purtroppo solo le sinopie, in quanto gli originali sono stati strappati durante l\u2019ultima guerra. I pannelli laterali rappresentano la Temperanza, la Fortezza, la Prudenza e la Giustizia<\/strong>. Nelle sovrapporte figurazioni monocrome delle quattro stagioni, la Samaritana al pozzo, Susanna e i vecchioni. Accenti manieristi, che si rifanno ad invenzioni Veronesiane<\/strong>, in specie nei paesaggi aperti oltre le finte logge a balaustra, con figure di donna in sontuosi panneggi e primi piani di alberi su cieli mossi: veri e propri \u201ctrompe- l\u2019oeil\u201d. Anche le stanze laterali sono interamente affrescate<\/strong> ed hanno soffitti in legno alla sansovina con travature in origine dipinte. La stanza ad est, da cui si accede dal vestibolo, \u00e8 la \u201csala di musica\u201d: strumenti musicali di ogni genere e note tra festoni fioriti costituiscono eleganti fregi verticali. I temi della Fede, Speranza e Carit\u00e0<\/strong> e, nelle sovrapporte, una Maddalena ed un San Gerolamo<\/strong>, completano il ciclo. Sulla parete a nord un paesaggio inquadrato da colonnati ionici ed ad est un camino marmoreo sormontato dalla Vergine con il Bambino<\/strong>. Nella stanza a sera, un altro camino in marmo di Verona \u00e8 inserito in una decorazione architettonica, con finti stendardi, armature, stemmi e scene monocrome di carattere biblico, amorini, tralci di viti. Sulla sovrapporta il tema della Deposizione e, sopra il camino, il Martirio di S. Giustina<\/strong>. La stanza a mattina, a destra del salone, si illumina di finte finestre, aperte su paesaggi animati da alberi e scene monocrome su tondi, ingentilite da decorazioni floreali, con effetto di arazzi appesi alle pareti. La cucina, di formazione ottocentesca, ed il vano scala, che sale al piano ammezzato e alle soffitte destinate a granaio, un tempo parzialmente affrescati, completano l\u2019ambiente. In epoca imprecisata, le pareti affrescate erano state ricoperte da strati di calce ed i locali suddivisi. I restauri sono stati condotti in tempi diversi dagli attuali proprietari sotto il controllo dell\u2019Istituto Regionale dellle Ville Venete e della Soprintendenza ai Monumenti.<\/p> \nThus was born the Venetian Villa, a type of dwelling and original production, which had great success because it responded to esthetic and practical needs; In fact, next to the main building, that housed the patrician, built by renowned artists, stood the barns, stables and cottages.
\nInitially, all the Villas were built in contact with nature and had as the primary goal the investment for intensive agriculture and only later the Villa took on a character of a vacation home, also becoming a kind of status symbol.<\/span><\/p>\n
\nAmong the most famous, Villa Maser, designed by Palladio and frescoed by P. Veronese, Villa Emo and Villa Foscari, called \u201cMalcontenta\u201d, frescoed by Zelotti . Among the most fascinating, though less known, Villa Soranzo Chiminelli in Sant\u2019Andrea di Castelfranco Veneto.

\nRecent studies show that the original property, \u201cin origin attributed to the Corner family,\u201d was indeed of Francesco Soranzo, noble Venetian, pastor at St. Andrea oltre il Muson from 1563 to 1595. In 1614 The villa passed to the noble family Piacentini and later on, in 1852, to the Tiepolo family.
\nDuring the second world war, in 1944, the Villa was occupied by german armed forces who used the house as a military hospital, and later under the american command.
\nIt was in this last year of the war that the whole property was bought, in very poor conditions, by Francesco Chiminelli who, whith great enthusiasm and passion, gave way to a restoration project p the close supervision of competent bodies.
\nThe first refurbishment of the inhabitable premises was followed by the restoration of the frescoed walls still partially covered by lime.
\nHe is also responsible for the collection of objects that today are part of the Museum of peasent art and the tanning.
\nAfter Francesco\u2019s death his sons Alessandro and Baldino, with the spame love and passion of their father, have embarked on a new, important and accurate restoration work, restoring the Villa to its former glory.<\/span><\/p>\n Interns <\/h2>\n

Built following specific rules of order and symmetry, it is a pleasant and harmonious combination of proportions, where the evergreen hedges divide the surface in four green areas set around the central path.
Decorated by a fountain located on axis with the lodge, and numerous valuable sculptures, in hard stone and in Vicenza stone, and archaeological finds.
The two barns, located on the west side of the garden, rapresent another important and characteristic architectural aspect of that period.
To the west lies the \u201corchard\u201d, a lawn, furnished by several antique farm machinery and fruit trees in tradition of the eighteenth century.

Un\u2019ala di origine ottocentesca a due piani, ridossata ad ovest e collegata alla villa a livello del piano mezzanino, un tempo \u201cmes\u00e0\u201d, e al piano terra il portico con il cortiletto di accesso alla pubblica via. In origine l\u2019ingresso dava a sud sulla corte lastricata e sul giardino racchiuso da un muro anch\u2019esso affrescato, modificato nel 1800 ad ovest per creare una barchessa a due piani<\/strong>. Una cappella con altare ligneo<\/strong> del 1400, si affaccia sul portico d\u2019ingresso.
La villa, di recente restaurata, \u00e8 dotata di riscaldamento invernale e impianti moderni, arredata con mobili d\u2019epoca e sculture di pregio.<\/p>Affreschi Veronesiani<\/h2>
Il Giardino<\/h2>
Riprende il tipico stile dei giardini rinascimentali<\/strong> con il giusto equilibrio tra rigore razionale e fantasia creativa. Costruito seguendo specifiche regole di ordine e simmetria<\/strong> \u00e8 una combinazione gradevole ed armoniosa di proporzioni, dove le siepi<\/strong> sempreverdi in bosso, dividono il giardino in quattro aree verdi<\/strong> disposte intorno al viale centrale. \u00c8 decorato dalla fontana posta in asse con la loggia e da numerose sculture di pregio in pietra<\/strong> dura ed in pietra di Vicenza, e reperti archeologici. Le due barchesse, strutture porticate disposte lateralmente alla Villa, nel giardino, rappresentano un altro importante e caratteristico aspetto architettonico dell\u2019epoca. Ad ovest \u00e8 sito il \u201cbrolo\u201d, tenuto a prato, arredato da molteplici macchine agricole d\u2019epoca e da piante da frutto secondo la tradizione dell\u2019800. In profondit\u00e0, oltre l\u2019antico cancello, impostato su pilastri in mattoni, il grande viale alberato da cipressi e pioppi che divide in due la tenuta agricola, destinata ad ovest a vigneto e ad est a produzione agricola.<\/p>Villa Chiminelli<\/h4>
